Hello, my name is Shallon Cerf and I live on Uluaoa st. We have been aware of the new proposed low income
housing units behind our street. Already in this area we have our large neighborhood and 3 affordable housing
complexes that have many units. Also in this small area we have 4 schools. Kealakehe Elementary which usually
houses around 1000 students, Kealakehe Intermediate, Montesorri Preschool, and Makualam Middle and High
school. Makualani added two new grades to their campus as of this school year. The traffic study done on this area
for this development was done during covid per my knowledge. The traffic during traditional times in this area is
already overwhelming and dangerous. The traffic for Kealakehe Elementary backs all the way up Kealakaa to
Manawalea st. The traffic happening at the weird intersection around Kealakaa, Uluaoa, and Manawalea is already
super dangerous. There are children that need to use that intersection to get to and from school. To get a clear
understanding of the traffic patterns here I would suggest you go door to door and ask the residents. I promise, you
will get a very accurate account for what traditionally happens here. Additionally, the intersection of Uluaoa and
Palani presents a safety hazard. It is dangerous and difficult to turn left off of Uluaoa onto Palani during school drop
off and pick ups. Additionally, the traffic backs up from Kealakaa all the way to near the top of Uluaoa. Adding
hundreds of children and cars to this area would be negligent and dangerous. This entire area is already traffic
riddled. I am STRONGLY against adding a new 4 story, 100 unit housing development in this area. I found out late
about the deadline for this submission. I have talked with MANY neighbors that feel the same way. Feel free to
