OF <br /> COUNTY HAWAPI <br /> STATE <br /> ♦f.� w wo+• I <br /> 'fit f•n�•H,,.t <br /> 3 <br /> I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> a <br /> I <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO <br /> ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF <br /> HAWAI`I <br /> I <br /> 3 <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development wishes to enter <br /> I <br /> into an agreement with the University of Hawaii; and <br /> i <br /> 3 <br /> I <br /> 3 <br /> WHEREAS, the agreement is to provide $21,166 to the University of <br /> Hawaii to fund the "Examining Korean Natural Farming in Hawaii Floriculture and <br /> Foliage —Year 2" program; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that County <br /> departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the <br /> federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the <br /> powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br /> powers; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`1, in I <br /> accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the <br /> County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, an agreement <br /> and related documents with the University of Hawaii to fund their proposal as j <br /> indicated above. <br /> ;I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> 3 <br />
