Additional federally-derived funds in <br /> the amount of$20,000 are being provided by the State of Hawaii Department of <br /> Transportation to provide training and travel to conferences for Mass Transit staff. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Mass Transit Agency's Rural Transit Assist Program account, <br /> bringing the total appropriation to $30,000. <br /> The Mass Transit Agency requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee <br /> and be placed on the September 22, 2021 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt <br /> of these funds.
