RESOLUTION NO, 205 1
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF SEVEN (7) BENCHES AND TWO (2) SEATS TO THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION.
WHEREAS, an anonymous benefactor through the Friends of Lili`uokalani Gardens
is donating seven(7) benches and two (2) seats to the County of Hawaii Department of Parks
and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, these benches and chairs, valued at approximately $14,100, will be
installed at Lili`uokalani Gardens in Hilo; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter,provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this
donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Department of Parks and Recreation, the Department of Finance, and the
Office of the Mayor.
