No. 191-21 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 11:40 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 191-21, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 191-21, transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 368 <br /> dated August 18, 2021, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii <br /> Department of Defense. <br /> This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement for the Civil Defense Agency's use of <br /> two classrooms at Keaukaha Military Reserve to conduct daily operations during renovations to its <br /> permanent office. <br /> Upon Committee Member H61eka Goro Inaba's request, Civil Defense Administrator Talmadge Magno <br /> confirmed that Civil Defense began using the classrooms on February 1, 2021. Mr. Magno also clarified <br /> that agreements may sometimes be made after-the-fact. Director of Finance Deanna S. Sako then <br /> elaborated that the first term of use was covered under Governor David Y.
