Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 62, reports as follows:
Bill No. 62, transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 367 dated
August 18, 2021, amends Ordinance No. 21-38, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022.
This bill increases revenues in the Federal—Area Plan on Aging account ($1,327,797); and appropriates
the same to the Area Plan on Aging account. Funds would be used to provide services outlined in the
Older Americans Act of 1965 with a focus on alleviating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on
seniors.
There was no discussion on the measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 62, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
