Subject: Support for the Passing of Bill 44 without Amendments
Aloha Councilmembers:
I am writing in strong support of Passing Bill 44 without Amendments.
I have witnessed our community's need for affordable housing from homeless families,
shelter burden families, teachers, hospital staff, etc. and is the reason why Mirein
Development is mission centric to building affordable housing.
We feel that factory built homes are part of the solution to affordable housing on the Big
Island. The passage of Bill 44 without Amendments would allow for factory built homes
to be an option for builders like us.
I humbly implore that the County Council Pass Bill 44 without Amendments. Some of the
most vulnerable and needy in our community will benefit from the opportunities that will
come available with the passage of Bill 44 without Amendments.
