Subject: Opposing Bill 52 and 53

Aloha County Council, Commissioner, and Committee Members,

During a neighborhood discussion session, I became aware of these bills that involves rezoning agricultural land and changing it
to a 6 lot subdivision. I strongly oppose taking an agricultural land and creating more homes which endangers the ecosystem
and affects our natural and cultural resources.

I was born here in 1942 and have watched our beautiful land change as more and more people move in, cutting down trees and
forests to replace them with concrete driveways, roads and buildings. We don't need to lose more agricultural land! Adding 3
more houses without improving our infrastructure is unsensible.
When the couple purchased this property, they bought it as agricultural land. Were they thinking that they could dissuade you so
easily?
I also understand that they want to build an ohana home. I want to build an ohana home but unable to do that, specified by the
Council. I live in the center of Holualoa town on a half acre of land, and I have plenty ohana. But I was forbidden to do so, and I
will comply with their rules.
Please take these into consideration when making your decision.
