My name is Keith Unger and I am testifying on Communication 183— Mark Van Pernis.
Council members are the elected leaders ofourcornnnunity. Under the County Council, are the '
County Boards and Commissions, a resourceful system that involves the community, first hand,
inthe process ofgoverning.
This process has always encouraged different ideas, cognitive thinking, robust debate,
disagreement and even argument.
While latitude ofdiscussion has tnbeallowed atthese hearings, itisimperative that those

discussions are conducted inanethical manner.

It is important today, that the County Council send a clear and unanimous message, that above
all, ethical, professional and fair treatment is not only expected but demanded.
