Pursuant to §92-41, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Hawaii County
Council will be holding five public hearings to hear testimony on:
Resolution 171-05: Requesting that the Hawaii County Council Hold Public
Hearings Around Hawaii Island to Facilitate Discussion of the Proposal that Hawai`i
County Take Over the Management of State Boating Facilities on the Big Island from
the Department of Land and Natural Resources(DLNR).
All interested persons are invited to attend and they shall be afforded the opportunity to be heard.
Those persons wishing to testify in person must register with the Council/Clerk's staff prior to the
convening of the hearings. Those testifying in person and submitting written testimony should
bring 16 copies of the testimony for distribution at the meeting. Those persons unable to testify
in person may submit testimony(1)by mail to the County Clerk's Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo,
Hawai`i, (2)by facsimile to(808) 961-8912, or(3)by e-mail to counciltestimony@co.hawaii.hi.us.
The meeting place is accessible for persons with physical disabilities. Persons who need special
accommodations to attend the meetings held on November 21st and 22nd should call 961-8255 by
November 16, 2005; and the meetings held on November 30th December 6th and 7th should call
by November 28, 2005. Persons using TDDs may call 961-8521.
