Subject: Support for Honua'ula Living Community
Aloha Councilmember Inaba:
I am writing in strong support of Honua'ula Living Community's 201H application to build 112
affordable apartments in your district.

Our communities have been dealing with problems associated with the lack of affordable housing
for a long time and the COVID crisis has made it that much more urgent. Our island would greatly
benefit from your approval of Honua'ula Living Community to effectively address this issue.
I'm currently looking for a place because all the public housing is full. I'm living in my car
with my wife and 3 year old girl. We need more houses so that we don't have to wait on a
long waiting list. Also, the housing here is very expensive. I hope that through the approval of
Honua'ula Living Community's 201H application, our County will move closer to effectively
address this long-standing issue and provide our residents with much needed housing.
