Subject: Support for Honua'ula Living Community
Aloha Councilmember Inaba:
I am writing in support of Honua'ula affordable housing. In our community affordable housing is
a huge, on-going problem. It has become even more of a problem with real estate prices soaring
its difficult to find a livable place to rent.
I have had to rent places with no running water,no restroom facilities and absetee landlords that
do nothing to fix the necessities.
I have worked for several nonprofits and I currently work for the department of education. Tax
paying citizens should not have to struggle for a decent place to live.
Please expedite this process,building can not start soon enough for the community.
I hope that through the approval of Honua'ula Living Community's 201 H application,our County
will move closer to effectively address this long-standing issue and provide our residents with
much needed housing.
