VV OF <br /> p,� <br /> COPUNTY OF G `Y :& STATE OF G <br /> 1Tt,•Of•µ1,g1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICEF THE MAYOR TO <br /> ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH THE AWAI`I EMERGENCY <br /> MANAGEMENTAGENCY <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Finance, the Department of Public Works <br /> and the Fire Department wishes to enter into agreements with the Hawaii <br /> Emergency Management Agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency has authorized <br /> funds to be provided to the Hawaii County Departments of Finance and Public <br /> Works and the Hawaii County Fire Department under their Fire Management <br /> Assistance Grant Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used towards costs associated with the <br /> Mana Road Fire that occurred in August 2021; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that County <br /> departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the <br /> federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the <br /> powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br /> powers; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in <br /> accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the <br />
