SOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION AUTHO ZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF ANIMAL CONTROL SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT
O THE COUNTY OF HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT,
WHEREAS, the Greater Good Charities is donating various animal control supplies
and equipment to the County of Hawaii Police Department; and
WHEREAS,the supplies and equipment, valued at approximately $55,000, will be
utilized by the Police Department for Animal Control Services; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts the donation of this Live Find Tracking K9 with K9 and handler training.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to Greater Good Charities, c/o Denise Bash, 4 � ,c tis .ct }kc sic rt........................ µ
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Police Department,the Department of Finance and the Office of the Mayor.
