I am writing in support of Faylene Mahina Paishon-Duarte's nomination to the Leeward Planning Commission.
Ms. Paishon-Duarte is a business owner who is dedicated to the economic sustainability of her community.As we see residents
fleeing to the continent for economic opportunities, it is imperative that our business leaders think"out of the box"for solutions to
this"brain and labor drain." I believe that Ms. Paishon-Duarte will advocate for ideas and actions that will increase opportunities for
our people here at home.She will bring a spirit of collaboration throughout the spectrum of community, business,education and
government entities,while remaining firmly rooted in her love and respect for this 'aina and its people.
