Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Deborah L. Baker of Kona to the Hawaii
County Ethics Commission to replace Leonetta H. Mills of Kohala whose term will end
on December 31, 1999.
Ms. Baker is a 30-year resident of Hawaii and since 1990 has been employed as a
public relations/advertising representative with Current Events. Her community activities
include membership to the Onizuka Memorial Committee, the HPA Alumni Association
and the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Democratic
Party.
If approved, Ms. Baker will serve a term to end on December 31, 2004. Your review and
favorable recommendation would be appreciated.
