A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF TWENTY (20) LAPTOPS TO THE OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, Vibrant Hawai`i together with Hawai‘i Rise Foundation is donating twenty (20) laptops to Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD); and
WHEREAS, the laptops, valued at approximately $ 11,185.34, will be used for distance-learning by the children who reside at Na Kahua Hale o Ulu Wini; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, provides that the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the OHCD recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, the County of Hawaiʻi, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Office of Housing and Community Development, the Department of Finance, and the Office of
the Mayor.
