Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Earl T. Nakashima of Hamakua to
the Hawaii County Water Commission to replace John R. Souza of Hamakua,
whose term will expire on December 31, 1999.
Mr. Nakashima is a 56-year resident of Hawaii and since 1980 has been
self-employed as a nursery operator. His community activities include
membership to the Honokaa Business Association, the Hamakua Lions, the
Encogen Foundation and the Kaapahu Community Association. He states that
he has no affiliation to any political party.
If approved, Mr. Nakashima will serve a term to end on December 31, 2004.
