Additional federally-derived funds in <br /> the amount of$64,917.10 are being provided by the State of Hawaii Department of <br /> Transportation to fund operations focused on reducing the number of drivers operating a <br /> vehicle while impaired. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawaii County Police's HCPD Roadblock Program account, <br /> bringing the total appropriation to $424,917.10. <br /> The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and <br /> be placed on the November 3, 2021 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of <br /> these funds.
