Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Paul J. Kierkiewicz of Hilo to the
Hawaii County Liquor Control Adjudication Board to replace Rudolph C. Hart of
Hamakua, whose term of office will expire on December 31, 1999.
Mr. Kierkiewicz is a 25-year resident of Hawaii. Since 1979 he has been the
president of Mauna Kea Agronomics and since 1989 the owner/president of
Hawaii Ice and Cold Storage Co. His community activities include membership
to the Hawaii Farm Bureau and the National Federation of Industrial Business.
He states that he has no affiliation to any political party.
If approved, Mr. Kierkiewicz will serve a term to end on December 31, 2004.
