®��yY OF <br /> Zt�liy°• <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII +_ :t STATE OF HAWA I`I <br /> •!i�' Na rOM.', <br /> �tF OF•N,°.P <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION ATHORIIN THE ACCEPTANCE OF MONETARY AND <br /> OTHER DONATIONS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> WHEREAS, various individuals and entities are providing donations to the <br /> County of Hawaii for the TEDx Countdown Summit; and <br /> WHEREAS, these donations (Exhibit A) will be used towards the County of <br /> HawaiTs "TEDxCountyofHawai`i: Local Insights Grow Global Solutions" presentation <br /> that focuses on sustainability and resilience; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(x) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts <br /> or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by Resolution <br /> approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Mayor recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAPI that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter <br /> 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br /> Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
