Subject: Bill 81
Aloha, I am submitting testimony in regards to Bill 81 that will increase the TAT by 3%. 1 encourage the council to vote against this bill
because the TAT does not just affect tourists, it also affects residents who may need to stay the night on another part of the island
because it would be difficult to make the trip back home due to appointments or events.The county needs to stop increasing taxes
and fees in the name of balancing the budget.You can cut positions or services instead. Bill 81 will continue the trend of driving
people away from the Big Island due to the high cost of living and increasing taxes.This is a trend that can be stopped now by not
passing this bill.Thank you for considering my testimony,mahalo.
