Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Jodie Rosam of Council District 6 to the Public Access, Open
Space and Natural Resources Preservation Commission, beginning January 1, 2022.
Ms. Rosam, a twenty-year resident of Hawai'i County, is dedicated to protecting the natural and
cultural resources of Hawaii, specifically in Ka`u. She is the founder of Pulama Mau
Environmental Consulting, contracting with Hawaii Wildlife Fund as their conservation,
education, and fieldwork specialist, and with the Ala Kahakai Trail Association performing
natural and cultural resource monitoring, documentation, and reporting.
Jodie is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Hilo, and holds a Bachelor's degree in
Biology and a Master's degree in Tropical Conservation Biology and Environmental Sciences.
She is an active volunteer with the Volcano School of Arts and Sciences, and Hawaii Civic Club
of Ka`u, among others. If confirmed, she will serve a term to end December 31, 2026.
