SUBJECT: Keauhou Water Use Development Plan (WUDP) Committee Briefing
The Department of Water Supply (DWS), with our consultant, Fukunaga& Associates, Inc., as well as
the Commission on Water Resource Management(CWRM) and Aha Moku, Department of Land and
Natural Resources (DLNR), would like to provide an update to the Flawai`i County Council on the
2017 Keauhou Water Use Development Plan(WUDP) at the November 16, 2021, Regenerative,
Agriculture, Water, Energy, and Environmental Management Committee (RAWEEMC) meeting.
We would like to request that this meeting be held later in the afternoon because this subject will
also be on the CWRM meeting at 9:00 a.m. that same day. This would allow the members of CWRH
and Aha Moku, (DLNR) to attend(remotely) the Council RAWEEMC Committee meeting and allow
all parties to be available for questions should they arise. We kindly request one (]) hour for the
presentation; this includes time for questions and answers from the Council.
I have provided the attendees below for your reference. A PowerPoint presentation will be available
on or shortly after the Council referral deadline of October 28, 2021.
