Re: Operating Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating an
additional $675,000 into the Office of Housing and Community Development's
Mainstream Voucher and OCE accounts. This increase in appropriation reflects the
additional funding allocation received from the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) for the Mainstream Voucher Program.

The Office of Housing and Community Development is requesting to amend Ordinance 21-36 by
appropriating the following:
Revenue.
Mainstream Toucher Program 152.3309.70 00,000.0

Expenditure:
Mainstream Voucher Program 152.461.5466.31 $600,000.00
Office of Housing OCE 162,461.5466,02 $75,000.00
The appropriation request for$675,000 represents an additional appropriation for the Mainstream voucher
federal eral grant program, The appropriation will be used to pay for the Mainstream voucher subsidies and
assist nun-elderly persons with disabilities as well as ever the admin cost to run the Mainstream program.
BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION 1.1 E ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED ,
This appropriation reflects additional funding allocation to be received from the U.S. Department of Housing
and urban Development for the period July 1, 2021 through June 30, :2022 for Mainstream voucher
subsidies to assist non-elderly persons with disabilities, The$675,000 is to be used for payment of rental
assistance for eligible participants in the Mainstream program as well as administrative cost to rum the
Mainstream program
