Aloha County Council Officials,
Please strengthen the 2 percent program.
Many citizens worked to start the Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation program in
2006, funded by 2% of our property tax revenue.
Last year voters approved an amendment calling for a 2% Administrator to acquire properties, seek matching
funds, and pursue grants to steward 2% lands. Voters also approved an amendment to expedite grants to non-
profits doing maintenance and stewardship of public lands.
Yet neither amendment has been acted on. Please support the preservation and protection of
Hawaii.
