Subject: Testimony for Bill 81
I am against bill 81 for the following reasons. We have been for some years and still are now in a construction boom, providing
the Building Department can get its act together and push out the building permits, it will continue.
What is never mentioned in the news is that with each new building permit that gets submitted our County of Hawaii makes
Hundreds or Thousands of dollars more on residential and commercial properties upon its completion.The Property tax on
new completed and developed land increases 5, 10 times or more from its undeveloped state making millions of dollars more
and more each year for our county.
Question is why our county council playing follow the leader to grab its share of the TAT tax when we really don't need it. We
need the tourist and yet you are rolling the dice and assuming that they will come no matter what. Please listen to Mufi
Hannemann he is a genius who knows how to bring money into our state, He is against this bill and you can bet its for a good
reason .
Please Don't pass Bill 81.
