Subject: Support amending Transfer station rules to allow trailers
Aloha Council Members:
I am strongly in favor of amending the transfer station rules to allow trailers access for trash and for green
waste.
It has been a tremendous hardship for many families to deal with trash and green waste from their
properties since the ban on trailers began...as many do not have pick up trucks.
For those of use without a pick-up truck, it is extremely difficult to move trash to the transfer stations, and
nearly impossible to move green waste.
Please consider the thousands of residents that for many years had successfully been using trailers for this
purpose, and need to again!
Any alternative that allows residents to use a small trailer at transfer stations on certain days even if
restricted to regional transfer stations would be much appreciated.
There is no good alternative for the thousands of residents without a pick-up truck but have smaller
vehicles and a small trailer to be able to maintain their properties.
