Aloha Hawaii County Council Members,
I am writing to you in behalf of the Kona Coffee Council. We are Kona's oldest & one of the
largest coffee organizations in Hawaii. We currently have every processor in Kona as a
member. We proudly represent over 80% of all coffee processed and certified in Kona.
We are strongly opposed to Resolution No. 223-21(coffee labeling).
We strongly disagree with any individual or organization attempting to use legislation to alter or
change any company's business model , any further changes would disrupt this stable market.
We are an industry that is already thriving.
Currently 'Farm Gate Values' are higher than ever before.
This is an on-going battle for 2 decades. We strongly urge you to use economics, not emotions.
