This project will consist of the distribution of citric acid bags and vouchers to individuals and organizations that continue its efforts to control the coqui frog population. By providing this service the Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC)will also print citric acid vouchers for the District 4 so they distribute the vouchers within the district to constituents fighting this invasive species. Nutrien Ag Solutions located in Hilo will also be a venue that residents may redeem their vouchers in East Hawai'i. With this effort by Hawai'i County Council members, HCEOC,ACE Hardware Stores and Nutrien Ag Solutions the vision is to control this invasive species but mostly importantly to stop the spread to other communities and counties of Hawaii. Please pass this resolution so the constituents of District 4 are able to control and eradicate the coqui frogs from their community.
