Hi,
My name is Alexandria Evans and I live on the big island of Hawaii. I am a single mom and I wanted to let you guys know I am one of
many moms here that have struggled with the family court system here. I guess it has been big islands effort to keep dads involved in
their kids life, however me and my daughter have struggled every step of the way because of it.As most of you probably know kids
are in general safer with their moms. I come from a domestic violent relationship with her dad and he has drug problems.When I
come to court to fight to protect my daughter from these types of environment I find my voice frequently ignored,and my daughter
endangered .This is very disturbing. I find the keiki are not being protected or chosen first but instead it's all about the dads .They
want to keep dads involved I understand but make sure they are safe FIRST. Have them PROVE they want to spend time with their
kids at least. By doing classes, rehab,therapy, programs etc.
