RESOLUTION AUTHORIZINGE PAYMENT OF FUNDS
LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR
FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR PARATRANSIT
ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENTS AND PARATRANSIT OPERATIONS
FOR THE MASS TRANSIT AGENCY
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a
later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year
agreement for one (1) year and three (3) months, for paratransit eligibility
assessments and paratransit operations; and
WHEREAS, the selected contractor will provide eligibility assessments strictly
limiting ADA paratransit eligibility to individuals with disabilities who are unable to
use the fixed route bus system and perform scheduling of transportation and
dispatching of operators; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a one (1) year and
three (3) month agreement for the services as indicated above, for
the Mass Transit Agency.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the
agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, Mass
Transit Agency, and the Finance Department.
