Ree Update on County's Efforts at Addressing Homelessness
I respectfully request time for an update by the administration regarding the county's efforts at
addressing homelessness. It is my hope that the presentation shall include, among other things,
an assessment of our island's present homelessness situation(ie. current number of homeless
individuals, existing inventory of homeless facilities), our short-term and long-term goals with
respect to the homelessness issue, strategies at achieving those goals,present and anticipated
costs associated with providing suitable housing for our homeless population, enforcement, and
any obstacles. I anticipate that the presentation and discussion will take approximately 1 hour
and 30 minutes.
Please place this item on the appropriate committee agenda for December 7,2021 or at a time
deemed suitable by you. Thank you for your attention in this matter.
