STATE OF HAWAI‘I
RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION CREATING ONE (1) NEW ACCOUNTANT I AND TWO (2) NEW SENIOR ACCOUNT CLERK POSITIONS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
WHEREAS, the Department of Finance is in need of three (3) new positions to implement a transient accommodation tax (TAT) collection, reconciliation, and enforcement program for the
County of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, these positions will be within the Department of Finance Internal Control and TAT Division; and
WHEREAS, the positions indicated above are one (1) Accountant I, SR-18 and two (2) Senior Account Clerks, SR-13; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawai‘i County Charter states that the Mayor has the power to “Create positions...for which appropriations have been made by the council...”;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that one (1) Accountant I, SR-18 and two (2) Senior Account Clerk, SR-13 positions be created in the Department of Finance.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of the Mayor, the Finance Department, and the Department of Human Resources.
