i <br /> uM�"of N, <br /> �6R is :� -vE C <br /> ,tE O•F N'� <br /> RESOLUTION N . 27 8 21 <br /> I <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> ONATION OF ONE SAND FILTER TO THE COUNTY OF A A ` <br /> DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT. j <br /> i <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Water Service is donating one sand filter to the County of <br /> Hawaii Department of Environmental Management; and <br /> WHEREAS, the sand filter, valued at approximately $200,000, will be installed at the <br /> Kcalakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Environmental Management recommends the acceptance <br /> of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Hawaii Water Service, 68-1845 Waikoloa Road, Unit 216, Waikoloa, HI <br /> 96738. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br />
