Committee Member Heather L. Kimball provided comments emphasizing the transition period from
Parks and Recreation to Finance and the importance of learning the application processes.
Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder provided comments in support of Ms. Rosam's
nomination.
Pursuant to Section 2-215(a), Hawaii County Code, there shall be a public access, open space, and
natural resources preservation commission which shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of
the Council.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication No. 488, and
recommends confirmation of the appointment of Jodie Rosam to the Public Access, Open Space, and
Natural Resources Preservation Commission.
