The regular meeting of the Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public

Comm. 176.7: REQUESTS A PRESENTATION OF THE NOVEMBER 2021 HAWEO
AWARD TO TYLER JELSMA, POLICE OFFICER — HAWAI`I POLICE
DEPARTMENT

Motion to Close File: Ms. Lee Loy moved to close file on Comm. 176.7.
Seconded by Mr. Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder.

CHR. INABA: We have here today Mr. Tyler Jelsma, and friends and ohana
from the Police Department. And at this time I ask Officer Jelsma, and
Lieutenant Derr, if you would please come up to the front table. You can take a
seat. And please introduce—Lieutenant maybe if you could start us off by
introducing yourself for the record and then please share why we're here today
and why Officer Jelsma is being recognized.

(Note: At this time, the November 2021 HAWEO Award was presented
APPRECIATION:
to Tyler Jelsma Police Officer from the Hawaii Police Department in
recognition of going above and beyond the call of duty in service to the
community. Police Lieutenant Derr came forward and provided
statements regarding his exceptional activities in service to the
community. Chair Inaba provided a celebratory Hawaiian Chant.)
CHR. INABA: So with that, let's close this meeting up. There's a motion on the
floor right now, all those in favor please say "aye."
