i i COUNTY OF HAWAIII STATE OF HAWAIII tri oF•w►'1 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ISLAND OF HAWAII YMCA FOR ITS FAMILY VISITATION CENTER PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Island of Hawaii YMCA (YMCA) is a 501(e)(3) nonprofit organization that supports local communities by implementing programs and activities in areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility; and WHEREAS, the YMCA Family Visitation Center Program provides a safe and neutral venue for healthy visits and positive interaction between parents and children who have been victims of domestic violence, separation, divorce, or custody disputes; and WHEREAS, the YMCA is requesting funds to purchase materials and supplies for its on- going community outreach and education; and WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports domestic and family violence prevention and intervention initiatives by identifying areas of need and working collaboratively with other criminal justice and community programs; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Island of Hawaii YMCA to assist with expenses related to its Family Visitation Center Program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
