SUBJECT: Request for discussion on Federal priorities to inform meetings with Hawai`i's
Congressional Delegation during the National Association of Counties' Legislative
Conference in Washington, DC, February 12-16, 2022.
This memorandum is being submitted to request 30 minutes to generate ideas and discuss Hawaii
County's priorities to be used as "talking points" in face-to-face meetings with Hawai`i's Congressmen
and Senators. As members of the Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC), Hawaii County
Council Members have an opportunity to provide input to the HSAC Executive Committee which will
inform meetings on Capitol Hill scheduled to coincide with HSAC's attendance at the 2022 National
Association of Counties Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, February 12-16, 2022.
Please place this item on the Governmental Operations, Relations, and Economic Development
Committee's agenda for January 4, 2022.
