Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Madeline "Madie" Greene of District 4 to the Cost of Government
Commission.
Ms. Greene retired in 2015 after twenty years as a business owner in Pahoa. She is people
oriented, an experienced community leader, and full of Aloha. Madie has continued her family
legacy of public service as a former member of the Puna Community Development Plan Action
Committee, current Vice President of the Ndndwale Community Association, an active member
on Hui Aloha '0 Puna Makal, Mainstreet Pahoa Association, HCEOC and Kanaka '0 Puna, and
past organizer of the beloved Pahoa Christmas Parade. If confirmed, she will serve a ten-n from
January 1, 2022, to November 30, 2022.
