Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Shannon Matson of District 5 to the Cost of Government
Commission.
Ms. Matson, a lifelong resident of Hawai'i, is a self-employed independent yoga teacher and an
energetic volunteer in the community. She serves on the board of the Sierra Club, Recycle
Hawai'i and Ahava 'Aina, and regularly participates in Hawai'i Wildlife Fund beach clean-up
events and regularly initiates food distribution within the community.
Shannon welcomes the opportunity to advocate for and support effective and efficient
goverment, for the best use of our tax-payer dollars. If confinned, she will serve a teen from
January 1, 2022, to November 30, 2022.
