Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Shane Vincent of District 9 for appointment to the Leeward
Planning Commission.
Mr. Vincent, a fifty-year resident of Hawaii Island, is interested in promoting economic growth
and development in Hawaii in a thoughtful and sustainable way. He received his bachelor's
degree in Economics from Santa Clara University and MBA in Finance from Thunderbird
School of Global Management. Mr. Vincent proudly served in the United States Army in the
Airborne Infantry and Special Operations units, in various leadership roles, from 1993-1998.
As a licensed General Contractor in the,state since 2008, Mr. Vincent has been involved in
numerous business and residential projects as Project Manager, Development Manager, Business
Director and Project Engineer, and opened the doors to his own company, Vincent Construction
Management, in September of 2018. Mr. Vincent is an active volunteer in the community and
serves on the Board of Hawai'i Wildlife Center and Sandalwood at Waimea. If confirmed, he
will complete the teen ending December 3 t, 2023.
