RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION CREATING ONE (1) NEW ACCOUNT CLERK (TEMP) AND ONE (1) NEW CLERK III (TEMP) POSITION FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of two (2) new temporary positions to support the Animal Control Program for the County of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, these positions are necessary to execute foundational operations of the Animal Control Program; and
WHEREAS, the positions indicated above are one (1) Account Clerk (Temp), SR-11 and one (1) Clerk III (Temp), SR-10; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawai‘i County Charter states that the Mayor has the power to “Create positions...for which appropriations have been made by the council...”;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that one (1) Account Clerk (Temp), SR-11 and one (1) Clerk III (Temp), SR-10 position be created in the Police Department.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of the Mayor, the Finance Department, Police Department and the Department of Human Resources.
