SUBJECT: Presentation of the January 2022 Haweo Award to HPD Recipient
on January 18, 2022—Parks and Recreation& Public Safety Committee
We are requesting approximately 10 minutes for presentation of the January 2022 Haweo Award
to Officer Reuben Pukahi of the Hawaii Police Department.
We request that this presentation take place on the Parks and Recreation and Public Safety
Committee on January 18, 2022, and that this committee be scheduled at 9:00 a.m, to better
accommodate the department's schedule.
The Haweo Award Program recognizes employees of our Police and Fire `ohana that perform
their duties "above and beyond the call". "Haweo"means to glow or to be radiant, and it is right
and just to recognize department employees who serve as shining examples of Hawaii County's
finest public servants.
