Vo <br /> C-0OUNTY OF HAWAN °• '* STATE OF HAWAI'l <br /> if'.sa w..:•' <br /> " ' �T�,OFNF'� <br /> RESO <br /> TIONNO. 301 22 <br /> RESOLUTION II THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br /> LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL <br /> FOR A MULTI-YEAR SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT WITH <br /> THOMPSON REUTERS FOR WESTLAW EDGE <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br /> later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney relies on their Westlaw <br /> online legal research service subscription for their trial preparation; and <br /> WHEREAS, a multi-year (five-year) agreement results in a significant cost <br /> savings; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a five (5) year multi-year <br /> subscription agreement with Thompson Reuters for the Westlaw Edge online legal <br /> research service; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year <br /> subscription agreement for the services as indicated above, for the <br /> Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br /> anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the <br /> agreement. <br />
