No. 561 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 1:02 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Communication No. 561, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 561, transmitted by the Honorable Mayor Mitchell D. Roth dated <br /> December 15, 2021, nominates Madeline Greene of Council District 4 to the Cost of Government <br /> Commission. <br /> Executive Assistant to the Mayor P6maika`i Bartolome introduced the nominee. Ms. Bartolome stated <br /> that Ms. Greene retired in 2015 after a career as a business owner in Pahoa. Ms. Greene is a former <br /> member of the Puna Community Development Plan Action Committee, current Vice President of the <br /> Nanawale Community Association, and currently a member of Hui Aloha `O Puna Makai, Mainstreet <br /> Pahoa Association, Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council and Kanaka `O Puna. <br /> If confirmed, Ms. Greene would serve a term from January 1, 2022, to November 30, 2022. <br /> Ms. Greene briefly introduced herself and her background. <br /> Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder and Committee Members Ashley L. Kierkiewicz, <br /> Susan L.K. Lee Loy, and Heather L.
