My name is Maki Morinoue. I am from Holualoa, District 7. Lq

I am testifying in support of Bill 91.
Bill 91 will BAN Glyphosate in County Parks and facilities. Thank you for amending Chapter
15, by adding a new article 12 prohibiting use of glyphosate-based pesticides in County Parks
and Recreational Facilities as it is the Pono direction for all life. It is great to know that Parks
and Recreation is already trying to move in this direction as a collaborative effort. It is an
easy line to see how it impacts us all and especially our children.
A playground is a safe sanctuary space for families. It must provide our children the support
of regenerative self care without being exposed to poison.
Please support a better future for us all. No more Glyphosate in County Parks & let's give our
keikis a better play space.
