I am Vilani Naipo of Pana`ewa, Waiakea, Hilo, District 3.
I am testifying in support of Bill 91 . --
Bill 91 will ban glyphosate in County Parks and Facilities. Getting glyphosate-
based pesticides out of County Parks and Recreational facilities is moving in the
right direction. It is good to know that Parks and Recreation is already taking
strides in this direction.
A playground is a safe sanctuary and an important social learning space for
families and especially growing keiki. Exposure to poisons and harmful
chemicals should not be a burden placed on families and certainly our keiki.
Please support a better future for us all. No more glyphosate in County Parks
and facilities. Please allow our keiki to play in safe places!
