Aloha council members,
Apologies for not being able to testify in person/zoom on this important topic.
As I've testified previously and remain in strong support of Bill 91. 1 would happily support even stronger, more
broad legislation to ban glyphosate and other persistent,toxic herbicides and pesticides for public, commercial, and
home use.
I've been in the ag industry in Kona for over 30 years and know that there are alternatives to maintaining and
protecting crops while doing the same for our planet and people. I know because 1 used them myself in my wholesale
plant nursery for decades.
The one thing I ask is that an amendment be added to insure that even worse herbicides (like "Crossbow")won't be
used to replace glyphosate in our public spaces and that safer alternatives be used.
