Aloha County Council members and mahalo for receiving my testimony in SUPPORT of Bill 91 to prohibit the use of
glyphosate-based pesticices in county parks.
I am a mother of a 3 year old and resident of Kailua-Kana, we use the local park facilities very often. I am looking
forward to the day where we do not spray toxic poison where our children play. Me and my family supported this bill
a couple years ago and we support it now.
I would urge the county to draw its attention to how we can use reasources we already have, coupled with traditional
Indigenous ecological knowledge to maintain invasive weed control and the green maintenance of our parks. Mahalo
Councilmember Villegas and all the other people for your continued efforts to ensure safe community places.
